Welcome back to the Month In Charts edition after a hiatus of one month as we were travelling in July on a vacation.
August was a roller coaster ride. The initial scare in the first week caused by the flash crash in Japanese equities was quickly forgotten by the markets as buy-on dips magically worked again across assets.
